Welcome to House of Khilonay.

We started this brand for one reason, children in Pakistan are spending
their childhood looking at a screen.

Walk into any room and you'll see it. A four-year-old scrolling.
A seven-year-old who won't eat unless a video is playing. Parents who know
it isn't right but don't have a better option to hand over.

We wanted to be the better option.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

A child holding a screen is being entertained. A child holding a wooden
puzzle, a set of building blocks, a paintbrush or a magnetic tile is doing
something else entirely, they are figuring something out.

They're deciding which shape fits. Working out why the tower fell. Trying
again a different way. Making something that didn't exist ten minutes ago.

That isn't just play. That's a child building the part of themselves that
solves problems, imagines things, and stays with something difficult until
it works.

No app does that. No video does that.

Fun. Learn. Grow - In that order. It has to be fun first, or the toy sits
in the cupboard. But the best toys keep giving something back long after
the excitement wears off.

HOW WE CHOOSE WHAT WE SELL

Every toy on this website is hand-picked. Not a warehouse of whatever was
cheapest to import instead a shortlist of things we would give to a child in our
own family.

Before anything goes on the site, we ask three questions:

Will a child come back to it? A toy that's exciting for one afternoon and
forgotten by Friday isn't worth your money.

Does it need a screen or a battery to be interesting? The best things on
this site work during load-shedding.

Is it actually made well? Wooden pieces that survive being thrown. Blocks
that still work when half of them have gone missing. Paint that's safe in
a child's mouth.

If it fails any of those, it doesn't go on the site.

OPEN THE PARCEL BEFORE YOU PAY

This is the promise we care about most.

When the courier arrives, open the box. Look at it. Check it's what you
ordered and that nothing is broken. Only then hand over the money.

We know what it feels like to pay first and hope for the best. You shouldn't
have to.
